Alan McMinis, 66, passed away on October 25, 2023, in Vermilion, Alberta. Fondly remembered by his daughters, Darcie Sabados (Adam) and Shauna McMinis (Zach Gylander), and his grandson, Gunner Gylander. He is also survived by his siblings, Rod McMinis (Ruby) and Anne McMinis (Bob Ernst), sister-in-law Kim McMinis, as well as his nieces and nephews: Breanne Walker (Brent), Joel McMinis (Jen), Mark McMinis, Alysha Grosky (Darren), and Lori Fundytus (Leonard). Preceded in death by his parents, George and Sadie McMinis, and his siblings Darlene McMinis Kreitz and Brian McMinis. A private family service was held in his honor. Memorial donations can be made to the University Hospital Foundation or a preferred charity.
