Albert DeCoste

Albert DeCoste passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Tuesday evening, August 15, 2023, at his home in Petawawa, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sheila DeCoste (nee Rodgers). Albert was a dear brother to Ron DeCoste (Linda) of Calgary, Wayne DeCoste (Erin) and Louis DeCoste, both residing in Summerside, PEI. Regrettably, he was predeceased by his sister Shirley Rogerson. He was also a brother-in-law to Eric Rogerson and Keith Rodgers (late Gail) from Fredericton, NB. Albert will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, as well as many friends.

A visitation to celebrate Albert’s life will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Wesley Community Church located at 210 Renfrew Street in Pembroke. Friends are invited to pay their respects to Albert’s family from 9:30 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., a Funeral Service will be held at Wesley Community Church, followed by Albert’s final interment in Fredericton, NB. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Albert’s memory to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice. The Murphy Funeral Home in Pembroke is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Albert DeCoste peacefully passed away on the evening of Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was 78 years old at the time of his passing. His loving family was by his side during his final moments at home in Petawawa. Albert was the beloved spouse of Sheila DeCoste (nee Rodgers). He had a dear relationship with his brothers, Ron DeCoste (Linda) from Calgary and Wayne DeCoste (Erin) and Louis DeCoste, both residents of Summerside, PEI. Unfortunately, his sister, Shirley Rogerson, had predeceased him. Furthermore, Albert had strong bonds with his brother-in-law, Eric Rogerson, and the late Keith Rodgers (Gail) from Fredericton, NB. His absence will be greatly felt by his nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

All who knew and loved Albert are welcome to attend the visitation at Wesley Community Church, located at 210 Renfrew Street in Pembroke on August 19, 2023. The visitation will commence at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Service honoring Albert’s life will take place at the same church at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Albert will be laid to rest in Fredericton, NB. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or any charity of your preference. The arrangements will be handled with care by the Murphy Funeral Home in Pembroke.
