Alice Grierson was born in Morden, Manitoba, the third youngest out of twelve children born to Carl and Nettie Link. Growing up on a farm, Alice eventually moved to Vancouver in 1957, where she pursued a course with IBM and became a keypunch operator. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Jim, who later became her husband in 1962. Sadly, Jim passed away in 2018. Alice is survived by her sister Grace, as well as her two daughters, Jamie (Perry) and Kim (Dave), along with her cherished grandchildren, Allison, Victoria, Cam, and Owen. The family holds dear the many wonderful memories they shared, including family vacations in the Okanagan region, engaging in activities like bocce and touring wineries, and simply reveling in each other’s company.

Growing up in the idyllic setting of a farm, Alice later sought new horizons and moved to Vancouver in 1957, where she underwent training at IBM and subsequently found employment as a skilled keypunch operator. It was in the bustling city of Vancouver that Alice found love and companionship with a man named Jim, their union culminating in marriage in 1962. However, the year 2018 marked a heartbreaking moment for Alice as she bid farewell to her beloved husband, Jim. Left to mourn her departure are her sister, Grace, and two loving daughters, Jamie (Perry) and Kim (Dave), who held a special place in her heart. Alice was also a doting grandmother to four treasured grandchildren, namely Allison, Victoria, Cam, and Owen. Fond memories of delightful family vacations in the serene landscapes of the Okanagan, filled with jovial games of bocce and delightful tours of wineries, will forever be imprinted in the hearts of her loved ones.
