Alvin Francis Barr, aged 93, passed away on October 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bessie Barr, in 2009. Alvin was a devoted father to Donald, Ronald, Bonnie, and Barbara, and he cherished his role as papa to his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the loving son of Frank and May Barr and also mourned the loss of two brothers and two sisters.

Friends and family will gather to pay their respects to Alvin at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10-10:45 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., and he will be laid to rest at Dorchester Union Cemetery.
