Alvina MORGAN
Alvina Gertrude Morgan, born in 1926 in Grenfell, SK, peacefully passed away in Regina on October 30, 2023, at the remarkable age of 97. She was the daughter of Frederick and Katharina Heinemann and spent her childhood on their farm. Alvina eventually relocated to Regina, where she crossed paths with her future husband, Lorne Morgan. The couple tied the knot in 1948 and together raised three children. While fulfilling her duties as a loving mother, Alvina also maintained a successful career outside of the home, predominantly at the University of Regina. Her involvement in church activities and membership in the Volksliederchor Harmonie (German Choir) allowed her to cultivate lasting friendships. Known for her exceptional craftsmanship, Alvina wholeheartedly dedicated her time to various charitable causes.
Alvina was preceded in death by her husband Lorne in 1995, as well as her son Gary Morgan, grandson Conrad Morgan, brothers Rev. Herbert (Sonja) Heinemann and Lawrence Heinemann, sister Lydia (Oscar) Maier, sister-in-law Florence Heinemann, and brother-in-law Darrel (Nancy) Morgan. She is survived by her brothers Walter Heinemann and Lloyd Heinemann, son Wayne (Marianne) Morgan, daughter Carol Morgan (John Maysenholder), and her former daughter-in-law Donna Lee Howes. Wayne and Marianne have a daughter, Laura (Russ) Conly, and a son, Sam. Carol and John have three children: Lisa, Tessa, and Jonathon. Alvina is also survived by her granddaughter Juno Morgan, who has two children, James and Shelby, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Those who knew her will forever miss Alvina, cherishing her memory in their hearts. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated care and support provided by the College Park National Care Services team in recent years.
