Anita PENNELL

Anita Jean Pennell, born on January 3, 1955, sadly passed away on September 27, 2023, after showing great strength during her valiant 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout her fight, Anita was surrounded by her loved ones, who provided her with unwavering support and affection. She leaves behind a devoted family who will forever cherish her memory. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Pennell, as well as her sister, Norma Nugent. She is survived by her siblings Gloria (Eric) Jeppeson, William (Sue), Joseph, Coralee (Tim) Babcock, and Tania Millard (late Russell). Anita’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by her daughter, Amanda Truax (Jason), her son, Tyson Boehme, her former daughter-in-law, Angela Fournier (Vince Bennett), and her son, Ryan Boehme (Jacqueline Cyr). Furthermore, her 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews will forever hold a special place in their hearts for their Gramma/Memaw.

In memory of Anita’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held at Payne Funeral Home, situated at 178 Main St in Odessa, Ontario, on Saturday, October 7th, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Afterward, at 11:00 a.m., a burial will be held at Wilton Cemetery. To honor Anita’s wishes, her family invites guests to join them in a joyous after-party celebration following the ceremony. This gathering will include singing, dancing, and the sharing of precious memories, all held at the residence of her sister, Coralee (Tim) Babcock. A delightful luncheon will be catered by the Lonsdale Women’s Institute, and guests are also welcome to contribute potluck dishes. The service will provide the address and map for reference. In lieu of flowers, Anita and her family kindly request donations to help sustain Wilton Cemetery, a cause close to her heart.
