Anthony OLSEN

OLSEN, Anthony Joseph “Tony”

Antony Joseph Olsen, lovingly known as Tony, was born on October 24, 1954, in Fredericton NB. He departed from this world on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario. Tony had been diagnosed with Mesothelioma earlier that year, and unfortunately, he succumbed to complications associated with this devastating disease.

Tony is survived by his three beloved children, Anthony, Jennifer, and Kyle. He leaves behind his dear brother Carl and three sisters, Gertrude (Sue), Pamela, and Patricia. Additionally, Tony is fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and friends across Canada. However, Tony has joined his parents Carl and Yolanda, his sister Ruth, and niece Michelle in the afterlife.

During his lifetime, Tony had the privilege of exploring numerous locations across Canada while working as a Leak Repair Specialist. His traveling adventures earned him the reputation of being an individual who had seen it all. Tony embraced every opportunity to learn and discover new things wherever he went. He found true happiness in the simplicity of life and appreciated its little pleasures. Tony’s passion for football, particularly the CFL, was unmatched. He would enthusiastically share his love for the sport with anyone willing to lend an ear. Boating and reminiscing about classic cars were also dear to his heart. Beneath his gruff demeanor, there always hid a warm and heartfelt smile.

In honor of Tony’s memory, his family has decided not to hold a formal service at this time. Instead, they kindly request that any flowers or wreaths be replaced by a donation to a charity of your choice. Let us all raise a toast to Tony’s remarkable life while celebrating the cherished memories he leaves behind.
