Anthony OLSEN

Anthony Joseph “Tony” Olsen, born on October 24, 1954 in Fredericton NB, peacefully passed away at London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Tony had been bravely battling Mesothelioma throughout the year and unfortunately succumbed to complications associated with the disease.

Tony is survived by his three beloved children, Anthony, Jennifer, and Kyle, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother Carl, his three sisters Gertrude (Sue), Pamela, and Patricia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends scattered across Canada. Although Tony leaves behind a grieving family, he was predeceased by his parents Carl and Yolanda, his sister Ruth, and his niece Michelle.

During his lifetime, Tony had the opportunity to explore various parts of the country as he worked as a Leak Repair Specialist. His adventures allowed him to experience the diverse beauty of Canada. Tony possessed an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, constantly seeking to expand his understanding of the world. Despite his love for exploration, Tony cherished life’s simple pleasures and found immense happiness in them. He had an unwavering passion for football, particularly the CFL, and would excitedly enlighten anyone who would lend an ear. Furthermore, Tony took great joy in boating and reminiscing about classic cars. Although his gruff exterior might have deceived some, his genuine and warm smile always followed.

Instead of a formal service, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of personal choice to honor Tony’s memory. In celebrating his remarkable life, it is encouraged to raise a glass and toast to the adventures and cherished moments they shared with him. Tony will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his zest for life and love for those around him.
