Antonio “Tony” De Sousa, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Deolinda for 63 years, and the cherished father of Maria Sequeira (Vitor) and Amelia Seixas (Tom). He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He was reunited with his parents Manuel and Maria, and survived by his sister Rita of Portugal. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Portugal.

Tony was a social butterfly and an active member of the Portuguese Club – Casa do Espirito Santo of Windsor. He was also a proud member of Terceira Idade, where he formed many lifelong bonds and friendships. Above all, family was Tony’s pride and joy. He loved seeing his family gather for dinner or at family functions and adored his grandchildren. He was truly born to be a father and grandfather.

Visitation for Tony will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home -Banwell Chapel on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, and a Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anne’s Church on Thursday, November 9, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Lung Association or the Kidney Foundation Canada in Tony’s memory.
