Audrey GRANTHAM

Joan Grantham, born Audrey Field, peacefully and bravely lost her long battle with cancer on September 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. After 47 years of marriage, she is now happily reunited with her late husband, Howard Grantham. Joan was a devoted mother to Juli Radersma, Janice Grantham, and Jo-Anne Campbell. She took great pride in being a grandmother to Jeff, Steve, Ashley, Brooke, and Hailey, as well as a great-grandmother to Jaylyn, Skylar, Audrey, and Eleanor. Joan was also a beloved sister to Jim Graham. She was an active member of Cainsville/Harmony United Church and the U.C.W. Joan and Howard, together with their close-knit group of friends, created lasting memories through camping and world travel. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Palliative Care Team at BGH and Dr. McNeil, Dr. Jones, and their respective teams for providing excellent care during her final days. Visitation will take place at Toll Funeral Home in Brantford on October 5 and 6, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to the BCHS Foundation for the Palliative Care Unit.

Audrey “Joan” Grantham (nee Field) peacefully passed away on September 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her family’s love and support, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Howard Grantham, who passed away in 2000. Joan was a devoted mother to three daughters, Juli Radersma, Janice Grantham, and Jo-Anne Campbell. She took immense joy in being a grandmother to Jeff, Steve, Ashley, Brooke, and Hailey, and a great-grandmother to Jaylyn, Skylar, Audrey, and Eleanor. Jim Graham, Joan’s dear brother, also mourns her passing. Joan was a faithful member of Cainsville/Harmony United Church and the U.C.W. She and Howard had a tight circle of friends with whom they shared countless camping trips and exciting adventures around the world. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate care and support provided by the entire Palliative Care Team at BGH. Dr. McNeil, Dr. Jones, and their teams also deserve recognition for the excellent care they provided. Visitation will be held at Toll Funeral Home on October 5 and 6, 2023, and memorial donations to the BCHS Foundation for the Palliative Care Unit are welcomed.

She and Howard shared a beautiful friendship with a tight-knit group of friends and enjoyed years of camping and traveling together, creating everlasting memories. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff of the Palliative Care Team at BGH, as well as Dr. McNeil, Dr. Jones, and their teams, for ensuring Joan’s final days were comfortable. Visitation will take place at Toll Funeral Home on October 5 and 6, 2023.
