Audrey Maxine McClymont

Audrey M McClymont, a beloved member of the McClymont family, passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 94. She peacefully departed at her home in Lakeland, Florida. Audrey was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to Raymond and Stella Scarrow. She completed her high school education at S.C.I.&T.S. in Sarnia. Audrey was proudly affiliated with the Beta Sigma Phi sorority as a charter member. Love blossomed for Audrey when she met and married her soulmate, John Cunningham McClymont.

Following John’s retirement, the couple relocated to Lakeland, Florida. Audrey continued her active involvement in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, becoming a lifetime member in 1948. Additionally, she dedicated 11 years of her life to volunteering at the Baptist Children’s Home, where she utilized her talents as a certified ceramics instructor.

Audrey endured the heartbreaking loss of her husband in 2011 after an impressive 62 years of marriage. Tragedy struck again in 2005 when she grieved the passing of her son Robert due to cancer. Despite these profound losses, Audrey’s memory lives on through her cherished children: daughter Cathy Warley, residing in Vienna, Austria, son James McClymont (Debbie), residing in Stow, Ohio, and daughter Leslie Landi (Robert), residing in Columbus, Georgia. Audrey’s legacy extends to her eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. During these difficult times, the McClymont family has been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support from their relatives, friends, and neighbors. Their acts of kindness and generosity shall forever be ingrained in their memories.

As per Audrey’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held in Lakeland, Florida. Further details will be announced at a later date, allowing loved ones to gather and honor Audrey’s extraordinary journey.
