Ben Parker, age 60, passed away on September 28, 2023, at the Woodstock Hospital. Surrounded by his family, Ben suffered a heart attack at home. He was the beloved husband of Lori Parker (nee Cousins) and the dear brother of Ed, Shari, and Steve. Ben was a cherished friend and stepson of Richard Whittington. He will be greatly missed by his nieces Megan and Sarina, nephew Daryl, as well as his great-nieces and nephews Syriss, Sandy, Shelby, Bentley, River, Lakelyn, and Isabel. Alongside many friends and extended family, Lori’s siblings Darlene (Harry) and Sherry (Greg), Ronnie, David, and Pam will fondly remember him. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Robert Parker, on August 26, 2017, and his mother, Elsie Dellow, on July 23, 2023.

Visitation for family and friends will take place at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, located at 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, cremation will be carried out, and a celebration of life gathering will be organized at a later date, which will be updated on the funeral home’s website.
