Bonita Zubko, a beloved resident of Devon, Alberta, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 18, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1946, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to her loving parents, Bill and Beryl Hartshorne. After her marriage to Gary, Bonnie embarked on a new chapter in her life, moving from Saskatoon to Devon in 1972 to establish her own family. As a devoted mother and grandmother, Bonnie found immense joy in showering her grandchildren with affection and witnessing their growth. Throughout her professional life, Bonnie excelled in the field of finance, initially working at a bank and later becoming a successful business owner in Devon. She made substantial contributions to the Devon Legion, serving in various officer positions on their board. Known for her sharp intellect and quick wit, Bonnie had the remarkable ability to find humor in any situation. Left to mourn her loss are her husband Gary, three children Curtis, David (Becki), and Cindy, grandchildren Justin (Katie), Lorne, MacKenzie, Connor, Nick, and great-grandchildren Aubree and Jackson. Bonnie is also survived by her siblings Brian (Elaine) Hartshorne, Brett (Mary) Hartshorne, and Barb (Mike) Waldren. She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Beryl Hartshorne, brothers Bruce Hartshorne and Bart Hartshorne, and sister-in-law Sheila Hartshorne. She had an exceptional talent for finding humor in every situation, making her a cherished presence in the lives of those around her. Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband Gary, children Curtis, David (Becki), and Cindy, grandchildren Justin (Katie), Lorne, MacKenzie, Connor, Nick, great-grandchildren Aubree and Jackson, and siblings Brian (Elaine) Hartshorne, Brett (Mary) Hartshorne, and Barb (Mike) Waldren. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Beryl Hartshorne, brothers Bruce Hartshorne and Bart Hartshorne, and sister-in-law Sheila Hartshorne.
