Bradley WILLIAMSON

Bradley J. “Brad” Williamson, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Pennie for 41 years and the cherished father of Sarah (Ange), Jen, and Joe. Brad was also a doting grandfather to Daphne, Cali, and Matthew. He will be deeply missed by his dear siblings Margaret (Arne) and Peter (Rita), as well as his brother-in-law Bruce (Janet) and the late Emilio’s wife, Joan. Brad was a devoted uncle and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Margaret, his brother Danny, and brother-in-law Douglas. Brad had a profound passion for baseball and dedicated himself to organizing youth and men’s leagues. Additionally, he served as a longstanding hockey referee and was a proud member of the Bluewater Referee Association. One of his treasured traditions was decorating for holidays with his granddaughter Daphne. Brad will also be remembered as an avid dog lover, stamp collector, and the family’s go-to trip planner.

In accordance with his wishes, Brad was cremated. A memorial funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Prior to the service, family and friends will have an opportunity to pay their respects one hour earlier. Throughout their 41 years of marriage, Brad was the beloved husband of Pennie and a loving father to Sarah, Jen, and Joe. His legacy also includes three grandchildren, Daphne, Cali, and Matthew, who held a special place in his heart. Among his siblings, Brad shared an unbreakable bond with Margaret, Peter, and his late brother Danny. He was also a brother-in-law to Joan and the late Emilio, and brother-in-law to Janet’s husband, Bruce. Brad’s memory will live on through his numerous nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched. Unfortunately, Brad was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Margaret, as well as his brother Danny and brother-in-law Douglas. Those who knew Brad will remember his unwavering devotion to the game of baseball. Not only did he serve as a Convenor for a youth league, but Brad also dedicated his time to a men’s league. Additionally, he contributed to the local community as a highly regarded hockey referee and a respected member of the Bluewater Referee Association. The holidays held a special place in Brad’s heart, as he annually carried out the cherished tradition of decorating with his granddaughter, Daphne. Beyond his sports-related involvement, Brad will always be remembered for his love of dogs, passion for stamp collecting, and unwavering commitment to organizing memorable family trips.

Following Brad’s wishes, his remains were cremated.
