Carl James Isaac, born on November 4, 1935, in Forest, Ontario, passed away on August 13, 2023. He was the beloved son of Harvey and Gertrude Isaac. In 1956, Carl married Patricia Isaac (nee Griffin) and they were blessed with 67 wonderful years of marriage. Carl is survived by his three daughters, Kim Teeple (Carl), Susan Frankfurth (Dale), and Carla Reaume, as well as his nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his stepfather George Haley, sister Erma Petroski (deceased), and brothers Jerry and Bob Haley.

Throughout his life, Carl was recognized as the dedicated owner of Isaac Foodtown in Comber for over 30 years. He gained his business acumen while working in Sarnia during his early days. Carl’s unwavering love and commitment to his wife, especially during her health struggles, left a lasting impression on those close to him. His family will always treasure his generosity, humility, and availability. Carl also served his community as a volunteer firefighter in the village of Comber. One of his cherished memories was spending time with his family at the Hillsborough cottage on Lake Huron, a place he built as a young man.

In his late 20s, Carl’s life took a significant turn when he embraced his faith in Christ and embarked on a new journey. He remained dedicated to his faith throughout his life and faithfully served in various churches. Carl’s relationship with God shaped him into the loving, giving, and generous person that he was, evident in his constant care for his wife, Pat. His impact and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has already taken place, and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to Ashley’s Place or a local charity as a tribute to Carl’s memory.
