Carl Karchie

Carl Karchie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Gabriel’s Villa in Chelmsford. He was the beloved husband of Micheline Karchie, who had sadly passed away in 2017. Carl was a loving father to his three sons, Michael, Richard, and Robert, all of whom had previously passed away. He is survived by his grandchildren, Buffy-Lynn, Jeff, Jennifer Lynn, Jessica, Chelsie, Jesse, Kyle, as well as his great-grandchildren, Maverick, Scarlett, and Tessa. Carl’s parents, Michael and Anne Karchie, had also predeceased him. He was the dear brother of James, David, and Doreen Morin, all of whom had passed away before him. Carl will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Carl worked as an iron worker for 23 years until his retirement in 2002. He had various hobbies and interests, which included fishing, hunting, painting with acrylics, gardening, and spending quality time with his dog, Brandy, and his bird, Maggie. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel’s Villa would be appreciated. Funeral service will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home in Sudbury on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 11 am, with visitation hours on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, as well as on Wednesday morning before the service. Carl will be cremated and his ashes will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
