She started her career at the Elite Cafe before working at Woolsworths and the OK Economy. On June 14, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ed Ranger. Together, they spent the last 28 years of their lives in retirement, enjoying camping, fishing, and tending to their yard. Ed lovingly cared for Carrie during her final years.
