Catherine Carolyn Marciano

October 16, 1946

July 17, 2023

Catherine “Cathy” Marciano, a resident of Calgary AB, passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 76, bringing an end to her battle with health issues. She had been married to her husband Gino Marciano for 35 years until his passing on November 4, 2022. Gino’s death had greatly impacted Cathy, leading to a decline in her own health. Despite overcoming a major heart surgery, her chronic lung condition eventually became unbearable, ultimately causing her departure. Remarkably, only nine months after losing Gino, Cathy also left this world. As their wedding anniversary approaches on July 30th, it is comforting to believe that they are now reunited and celebrating together once more.

Cathy is survived by her two siblings, Sandra Doyle and Pamela Brandt, who have two children named Amanda White and Joseph Brandt. Her late sister, Mary, left behind two surviving nephews, Jason McEachern and young Leonard McEachern. Shannon, Cathy’s only child, had been residing in British Columbia but had been caring for her in Alberta during her hospitalization. Shannon has two daughters, Tess Venchuk and Vanessa Venchuk, with Vanessa being engaged to Kris Jackson and giving birth to two children, Lydia Venchuk and Damian Jackson. Additionally, Cathy is survived by her three stepchildren, Patricia Marciano, Gina Stevenson, and Francesco Marciano, who married Jen and had two daughters named Desiree and Brooklyn. Gina tied the knot with Dean Stevenson and had two sons named Cole and Blake. Unfortunately, Patricia’s only child Jamal Marciano has predeceased her.

The family kindly requests that flowers and notes be sent to the home that Cathy and Gino shared. They have also arranged for a Celebration of Life and Love in the same location at 3:30 pm on Sunday, July 30, 2023, coinciding with Gino and Cathy’s anniversary. Family and friends who knew Cathy are warmly invited to join them at this gathering to pay their respects and share cherished memories of an extraordinary woman. Condolence messages may be left for the family at http://www.piersons.ca.
