Charles Alexander Crerar, 85, from Stratford, passed away on October 28, 2023, at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence in Stratford. Charles, born in Stratford, was the son of the late Alexander and May Crerar. On March 31, 2014, he lost his beloved wife Barbara (Schonher) Crerar. Charles was a dedicated member of Elgin Missionary Church in Stratford and worked for Hendrickson Manufacturing until his retirement in 1989. During his retirement, he found joy in traveling and restoring antique tractors. Charles was a loving father to Alex, Thomas (Andrea), and Peter (Hyea Jin), and a cherished grandfather to Samuel, Josiah, Ocean, Joshua, Alexander Jr., and Jonah. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Barber, sister-in-law Georgia Schonher, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was predeceased by his sister Nancy Snay and brothers-in-law Ronald Snay, Richard Schonher, and William Barber.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the W. G. Young Funeral Home on November 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service.
