Christopher HERNON

Christopher Michael Hernon, born on June 12, 1942, peacefully passed away on August 31, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Patricia. He is survived by his adoring daughter Sheila, grateful grandchildren Megan, Madelyn, and Ethan, and great-granddaughter Kensington. His siblings Marie and Elizabeth also mourn his loss, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Chris moved to Manchester, UK, before eventually immigrating to Canada in 1953. He found a second home on Mayne Island, where he cherished his time and made lasting memories. Chris dedicated many years of his life to volunteering with the Lions Club, showcasing his generous spirit and commitment to giving back. When he wasn’t helping others, he could often be found passionately following his favorite sports, including baseball, football, and soccer. Chris had an infectious sense of humor and prioritized the well-being of his family above all else. Although he will be deeply missed by his loved ones and friends, his memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We find solace in knowing that he has been reunited with his beloved wife, Patricia. Details for a Celebration of Life will be shared at a later date.
