Conrad Stresman

Conrad Raymond “Connie” Stresman, 75, passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on August 23, 2023. He was a resident of Pembroke and cherished husband and best friend of Chris Stresman (nee Biesenthal) for 52 years. Connie was a loving father to Geoff Stresman (Heather), Lindsay, and Julie Gauthier (Brian), Dundas. He was also a beloved Papa to Hayden, Anna, and Maddy. Connie was the son of the late Edward and Frances Stresman (nee Schultz) and the dear “bro” of Ron Stresman (Freda). He was predeceased by his infant brother Kenneth. Connie is survived by his sister-in-law Barb McGinnis (Gerry) and brother-in-law Tom Biesenthal (Erika). Sadly, he was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law Karen Perry, Bob Biesenthal (Lynn Romhild), Susan Stewart (Emerson), and John Biesenthal (Wendy). Connie held a special place in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place at the Neville Funeral Home, Pembroke, on August 30, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service was held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requested donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley. Conrad Stresman, affectionately known as Connie, passed away at the age of 75 on August 23, 2023. A long-time resident of Pembroke, he shared 52 beautiful years with his loving wife and best friend, Chris Stresman (nee Biesenthal). Connie was a devoted father to Geoff Stresman (Heather) and Lindsay, as well as Julie Gauthier (Brian) of Dundas. He brought immense joy as Papa to his grandchildren Hayden, Anna, and Maddy. Connie was born to Edward and Frances Stresman (nee Schultz) and had a special bond with his dear brother Ron Stresman (Freda). Sadly, he experienced the loss of his infant brother Kenneth. Connie will be remembered fondly by his sister-in-law Barb McGinnis (Gerry) and brother-in-law Tom Biesenthal (Erika). He was preceded in death by his siblings Karen Perry, Bob Biesenthal (Lynn Romhild), Susan Stewart (Emerson), and John Biesenthal (Wendy). The nieces and nephews that Connie cherished referred to him as their special uncle (U.C.).

Friends and family had the opportunity to pay their respects during the visitation held at the Neville Funeral Home in Pembroke on August 30, 2023. The visitation was held in two sessions, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service, officiated by Grace Lutheran Church in Locksley, was held the following day at 11:00 a.m. The service was followed by interment in the peaceful surroundings of Grace Lutheran Cemetery. In memory of Connie’s life, the family kindly requested donations to either the Ottawa Heart Institute or Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley.
