David Baker

David Baker peacefully passed away at the Age Care Long Term Home on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 78. He is survived by his son Barry Neatby, three grandchildren named Jayden, Keyana, and Cohen, his sister Wendy Magrath and her husband Doug, nieces Marissa, Allyson, and Azra, his brother Murray Baker and his wife Maria Isabel, and niece Alexa. He is also survived by his step-mother Loreen Baker. One of David’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his dogs, whom he would take on walks around the neighborhood. He was an avid sports fan and cherished watching his favorite Bears, Rangers, and Red Sox teams with friends. He also enjoyed activities such as playing darts and backyard baseball, listening to music, reading, watching old movies, and displaying his creativity through poetry. David’s dry wit and friendly nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, from 12-1 p.m. The funeral service will then take place in the chapel at 1 p.m. Following the service, interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory can be made to the Humane Society of London & Middlesex or the London Food Bank. David Baker, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and step-son, will forever be remembered for his deep love for his dogs, his passion for sports, his diverse range of interests, and his sharp sense of humor.
