David Victor Harmer, age 66, passed away peacefully at the Quinte/West Hospice on October 20, 2023 at 6:00. He was born in Oshawa on May 3, 1957. David is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Hub Harmer, his older brother Moe, brother-in-law Martin Brownell, and father-in-law Jim Ruddy. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie, sister Joyce and her husband Martin, brother Harry and his wife Mary-Jo, mother-in-law Violet Ruddy, sisters-in-law Deanna and Bev and their respective husbands, Dave, Murray and Pauline, and brother-in-law Brian. David was adored by his many nieces and nephews. He had a deep love for the great outdoors and held a tremendous passion for motorcycles and fast cars. Instead of a traditional funeral, the family will be organizing a celebration of David’s life, with further details to be announced.
