David REYNOLDS
David Murray Reynolds, born on March 29, 1946, passed away on September 29, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, commitment, and humor. Throughout his life, David prioritized his family above all else. He was married to his beloved wife Shelley for 52 years and together they raised three amazing children, Scott, Sara (Glenn), and Paul (Jessy). In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by his siblings Steve and Brenda. His family will forever cherish his memory, and his spirit will live on through his cherished grandchildren, Eli, Cameron, Sadie, Natalie, and Adeline.
David dedicated his professional life to education, serving as the Principal of Trenton High School and working in various schools in Belleville. Even after retiring, he remained actively involved in the lives of students as a coach and referee for high school sports. David had an enduring passion for sports, participating in hockey well into his late sixties and even completing marathons. His enthusiasm for physical activity was unmatched.
Known for his sense of humor and vibrant personality, David had the ability to uplift those around him. While he approached his work and family with utmost dedication, he never took himself too seriously. His lightheartedness was evident in his office, where he kept a picture of the Three Stooges as a reminder to always find joy in life. Additionally, David had an unwavering love for Bob Dylan’s music and often quoted or sang Dylan’s lyrics in his daily conversations. Regardless of whether others appreciated it, he would serenade anyone within earshot.
