Dennis Richard Dembicki, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 75. He will be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Cissy Dembicki (Leung), his daughter Jennifer (Richard), his son Michael (Allison), his grandchildren Wilfred, Ashleigh, Madelyn, Charlotte, and Andrew, as well as his extended family, former colleagues, and friends. Dennis was a devoted son to his late parents, John and Janette Dembicki.

Dennis dedicated his heart and time to his family. He cherished his wife Cissy, always displaying unwavering love and devotion towards her. He took great delight in being a proud father and grandfather, finding pure joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren at the family cabin. There, he shared his love for the outdoors and guided them on adventures, knowing just how to tread the line between mischief and cherished memories.

Known for his adventurous spirit, Dennis had a passion for various hobbies such as fishing, boating, skiing, golfing, curling, swimming, squash, and card games. He actively participated in church activities and served on municipal committees and organizations, embodying a true sense of community.

Dennis enjoyed a fulfilling career as an engineer, primarily with Dow Chemical, where he took great pride and satisfaction in his work. He found happiness in knowing that his children chose to follow in his footsteps by pursuing engineering careers of their own.

A Funeral Mass to honor Dennis’ life will be held on Monday, August 28, at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute through the University Hospital Foundation.
