It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Domenico Di Bella at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Domenico, aged 88, was predeceased by his beloved wife Carmen (née Prieto) in 2012 and his daughter Maria DiBella in 2011. He will be forever cherished as the loving father of Giuseppe “Joe” (Jacqueline) and the doting grandfather of Cassandra and Rebecca DiBella. Domenico was a dear brother to Giovanni Di Bella (late Ferol) of North Bay, Filomena Di Bella (Rocco Dolce) of Italy, Giuseppina Di Brizzi (late Nicola) of Chicago, and Salvatore Di Bella (Catherine Adams) of Stratford. He was also preceded in death by his sister Antonietta Di Bella (late Francesco Libretti), his brother Francesco Di Bella, his brother Rocco Di Bella (Carmela), and his sister Michelina Di Bella (Gaetano La Veglia). Domenico will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from Europe, North America, and South America. Throughout his unique work career, which spanned Europe and South America, Domenico dedicated 25 years to Kidd Creek mines before retiring. Besides his work, he deeply enjoyed tending to his garden and cherished the time spent with his granddaughters. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Marilyn Perron for her unwavering support during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12 noon to 1:45 pm, followed by a chapel service at 2 pm at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Father Simon Drapeau.
