Donald Wayne Cochran, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023 at the age of 87. Surrounded by his beloved wife Louise, he took his last breath at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. Don was known for his kind-hearted nature and genuine care for others. Born on February 21, 1936, in Hanna Alberta, he found his soulmate, Louise, during their time together at the University of Saskatchewan. They navigated life’s ups and downs side by side, creating a loving home for their children in various locations including Saskatoon, North Battleford, Turtle Lake, and finally settling in Radisson. In his later years, Don found great joy in woodworking and hosting dinners for his friends, leaving a lasting impression with his engaging smile and gentlemanly demeanor. He was preceded in death by his mother Bernice, father Percy, stepmother Dorothy, and brothers Gordon, William, Robert, and James. Don is survived by his wife, Louise, and their three children: Paul Cochran and wife Rosemary Spurll, Murney Rinholm and husband Brent, and Gaun Cochran and wife Holly.
A celebration of Don’s remarkable life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Edwards Family Centre in Saskatoon.
