Donald (Don) Polsfut, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 84 on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Born on December 16th, 1938, in Biggar, Saskatchewan to Ferdinand (Vern) and Hazel Polsfut, Don leaves behind his wife Cathy, and their three sons, Derek (Bonnie) Polsfut of Calgary, Roland (Shawna) of Airdrie, and Curtis (Anita) of Grande Prairie. He also leaves behind a legacy of nine loving grandchildren. Don’s surviving siblings include his brother Leonard of Prince George, BC, his sister Barbara Berglund of Winnipeg, his brother Ben Polsfut of Saskatoon, and his sister Marlene Fournier of Saskatoon. Unfortunately, Don was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brothers Russell, Lloyd, Lawrence, Gary, and his sister Joan Berglund. The Polsfut Family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated medical staff at Rockyview General Hospital for their tireless efforts in providing comfort and care during Don’s last days. In honor of Don’s memory, the family kindly requests that instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Calgary. A Celebration of Life, presided over by Reverend Linda Hunter, will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, located at 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery).
