Donald VAN PATTER

Donald (Don) Thomas Van Patter, a loving father and devoted husband, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 due to a cardiac event on July 10 at Western University Hospital. He was surrounded by his wife, Helen Van Patter, and their children, Christopher and Ariel Van Patter. Don was born on August 4, 1960, to Shirley and Donald James (Jim) Van Patter, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother Shirley, and his two sisters, Pat and Judy Van Patter, as well as their partners Pam French and Brian Hubert. Don will be deeply missed by his Aunt Irva, Uncle George, and his cousins Roxanne, Mike, Melinda, and Melissa. He will be fondly remembered by his friends and colleagues for his willingness to help others and his ability to find unique and clever solutions to problems.

A visitation for guests and friends will be held at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1997 Dundas St. East, London) on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. In memory of Don, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
