Donna Crawford (formerly Donna Davis) passed away peacefully in her sleep at Agape Hospice in Calgary, Alberta, on Sunday, August 20, 2023. She was born in Calgary on August 5, 1935. On October 12, 1957, she married Arthur Crawford from Saint John, NB. Donna and Arthur had four children: Greg, Gordon, Janet, and Lori. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Jessica, and her great-grandson, Mason. Donna’s parents were Murray and Grace Davis, and she had several siblings: Gordie, Donnie, Helen, Jean, Sheila, Marion, Elaine, and Margery. Donna’s warm and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She dedicated many years as a caregiver, volunteering at Colonel Belcher Hospital and the Fanning Centre. Her kind heart and loving spirit made her beloved by all who knew her. Though her absence is deeply felt, there is solace in knowing that Donna is now in the embrace of her Lord and Savior. A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held on Wednesday, August 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Calgary. Donna’s innate kindness and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. She selflessly served as a caretaker at Colonel Belcher Hospital and the Fanning Centre, where she spread love and compassion. Donna possessed a unique ability to connect with people, and her warmth and empathy endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. The immense void left by her passing cannot be expressed adequately in words. However, we find solace in the knowledge that Donna has found eternal peace with her Lord and Saviour. Donna will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, good heart, and gentle spirit. She devoted many years to caring for others, volunteering at Colonel Belcher Hospital and the Fanning Centre, where she radiated love and compassion. Donna possessed a special gift for connecting with people, and her warmth and empathy endeared her to all she encountered. The depth of our loss is immeasurable, and there are no words to adequately express our sorrow. Yet, we find solace in knowing that Donna has found peace, reunited with her Lord and Saviour.
