Doreen June Doyle

Doreen June Doyle, aged 87, peacefully passed away on October 21, 2023 in Regina, SK after enduring a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Doreen was born on June 7, 1936 to Clyde and Mabel Hart in Brownlee, SK. After completing her teacher’s certification in Moose Jaw, SK, Doreen dedicated numerous years of her life teaching primary grades in various towns in Southern Saskatchewan, as well as in Moose Jaw. She later transitioned to teaching children with special needs and primary grades in Regina. Doreen’s commitment to teaching was evident in her determination to ensure that every child left her classroom mastering phonics through the MKM reading program.

In 1958, Doreen married the love of her life, Paul Edward Doyle. Together, they experienced the joys and challenges of parenthood, raising their children Darcy Doyle, Delaine Johnson (Rhys Renouf), Carole Doyle (Glenn Rolfe), and Dean Doyle. Their love extended even further as they became nurturing and giving grandparents to Colin Rolfe, Caitlyn Buchanan (Eugene McPartland), Kirsty Zuck (Christian Zuck), and Brett Buchanan (Amanda Schneider). Additionally, they took immense pride in being great-grandparents to Remington Zuck. Doreen’s unwavering love, inspiration, strength, and guidance were blessings bestowed upon her loved ones. Her warm hugs, beautiful smile, twinkling eyes, quick wit, and memorable one-liners made her an amazing woman cherished by all.

One of Doreen and Paul’s sources of happiness was their cottage on Lake Diefenbaker, which brought together friends, family, and neighbors. Doreen enjoyed observing children’s laughter at the beach, playing golf, gardening, birdwatching, reading, playing cards, and making delectable meals. The serenity of the lake brought her solace as she strolled along the beach. Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband Paul, her parents, Clyde and Mabel Hart, her brothers Howard, Lyle, and Ray Hart, and her sisters Muriel Ryan, Evelyn Hart, and Deana Rhode. She was also preceded in death by her special sister-in-law Pat Doyle.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the medical staff and caregivers who provided exceptional care to their beloved mother. Their professionalism, compassion, and love will forever be remembered. In accordance with Doreen’s wishes, a funeral service will not take place.
