Doris Olsen

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Winnifred Olsen on October 30, 2023, at the age of 95. Doris was born on December 3, 1927, in Saint John, NB to her loving parents, George and Olga (Walker) Hanson. She left behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her beloved children: Ronald Olsen of Cassidy Lake, NB, Katherine Ellis (Wendell) of Lakeside, NB, and Tammy Olsen of Edmonton, AB. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Edward Montague of Saint John, NB. Doris leaves behind 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her son, Harold, and his wife Sandra Olsen, her daughter Judith Montague, grandchildren Tanya Olsen, Daryl Olsen, and Tony Montague, as well as her siblings: Bill Hanson, Lloyd Hanson, Gordon Hanson, Gladys Sherwood, Parn McKay, Greta Snodgrass, and Wendy Bach.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), located at 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Reid’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 6th, at 11:00am in the Reid’s Chapel. Doris Winnifred Olsen will forever be remembered for her warm heart, her selfless nature, and her unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace, knowing that she has touched the lives of countless individuals and has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
