Ed was born on September 5, 1935, on the family farm near St. Brieux, SK. At a young age, he met his lifelong partner Carrie, and together they relocated to Saskatoon at the age of 16. Ed commenced his career as a manager at Stromies. On June 14, 1954, he and Carrie exchanged vows and embarked on a remarkable journey of raising three daughters. In 1970, he became the owner of a cab franchise, driving cab #77 for a quarter of a century. Once their daughters had grown, Ed ventured into the world of DJ’ing, establishing Ed’s Music Service, where he and Carrie spent countless evenings together, fostering their shared love for music. Retiring at the age of 59, Ed cherished his leisure time, indulging in camping, fishing, tending to their yard, and cherishing the company of their family. Known for his humor and affinity for teasing, Ed left behind a legacy of laughter. He is survived by his three daughters, Elaine (Ken) of Saskatoon, Darlene (Norm) near Clavet, and Janet (Dale) of Logan Lake, B.C., as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
