Edward George Grills, age 70, peacefully passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday, October 23, 2023. Edward was the son of Floyd and Wilma Grills, both of whom have preceded him in death. He is survived by his two children, Karen Grewal (nee Grills) and Kevin Grills. Edward was a loving grandfather to Bailey Grewal, Jordan Grewal, Kysandra Grills, and Brayden Grills. His siblings, Harold (Barb) Grills, Fred (Linda) Grills, Vicki (Jim) English, Roma (Stewart) Simpson, Lyle (Wendy) Grills, Coni (Ron) Grills-Reid, and the late Randy Grills (survived by his wife Kathy), will also miss him dearly. Edward will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Laurie, Lisa, Shannon, Angie, Avril, Jocelyn, Tina, Shaughn, Tim, Orman, Sheranda, and all of their children. A cremation was conducted, as requested by Edward himself. A simple graveside service will take place at the Warkworth Cemetery on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. After the service, a reception will follow promptly in the St. Paul’s United Church gathering hall in Warkworth.
