Eileen Catherine Vice, 91, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Villa Marconi in Ottawa. She was surrounded by the loving care of her nieces, Joanne, Elaine, Jane, Sheila, and Rosanne. Eileen was born in Renfrew, Ontario to Alec and Anna Mary Vice. Sadly, she was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses; Clarence (Angela), Stella Prosser (Ernie), Geraldine Petrie (Basil), Tom (Eileen), Marjorie Cull (Leonard), and Bert (Linda). She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Eileen received her education at McDonald College (McGill University) and spent the majority of her career as a guidance counselor in the Toronto District School Board. Her dedication helped countless high school students in pursuing their academic and career aspirations. As a lifelong resident of Toronto, Eileen cherished her independence and had a passion for solo travel, cooking, and theater.

In accordance with her wishes, Eileen will be laid to rest alongside her parents in Renfrew. A Mass will be held in her memory at St. Francis Xavier Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Amore Unit staff at Villa Marconi for their exceptional care and support throughout Eileen’s final months.
