Eldon McCutcheon

Eldon Robert McCutcheon, aged 67, passed away suddenly at his residence in Georgian Bluffs on September 23, 2023. He was a devoted husband and best friend to Dawn (nee Miller) for nearly 48 years. Eldon was a loving father, survived by his daughter Michelle McCutcheon from Georgian Bluffs, and his daughter Colleen McCutcheon and her husband Terry Stewart from Heidelburg. He was a dear brother to Murray and his wife Sharon from Waterloo, Dennis and his partner Edith Davis from Balmy Beach, and Carole and her husband Brian Ainsley from Wiarton. Eldon was a cherished brother-in-law to Pauline McCutcheon from Balmy Beach, Stephen Miller (Bev) from Miller Lake, Lauren Miller (partner Ian Lamont) from Owen Sound, Sandy (Kevin Walsh) from Miller Lake, and Karen (Bruce Fisher) from Northern Bruce Peninsula. He will be greatly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Eldon’s family and friends was held at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel in Wiarton, located at 272 Berford St., on September 27, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life was organized on September 28, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the family home, including a special Time of Sharing at 2 o’clock. Eldon’s private family burial took place in Oxenden Cemetery.
