Eleanor Braydon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Doreen (Farnham) Braydon, a beloved wife to the late Norman Braydon for more than 50 years. Eleanor peacefully left this world on October 3, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1936, in Saint John, NB, to her late parents Berton E. and Willa (Snow) Farnham.

Eleanor had a great love for country music and was an avid dancer. She and her late husband traveled together in their motor home, attending numerous music events that held a special place in their hearts.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Doug (Darlene), Gary (Debbie), and Brian (Barbara), along with her grandchildren: Jennifer, Lyndsay (Jonathan), Kaylee, Connor (Katelyn), and Shayelin (Tom). She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Braydon and Henry, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her dear companion Floyd Johnson, her brother Doug Farnham, and sister Joan White.

Visitation will be held at Fundy Home Home, located at 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will then take place at the Fundy Chapel. A private family interment service will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, the SJRH Palliative Care Unit, or a charity of the donor’s choice in remembrance of Eleanor’s life. Her loved ones would truly appreciate these meaningful contributions.
