September 26, 2023

Elizabeth (Betty) Bibbings, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 26, 2023. We were incredibly fortunate to have had the privilege of learning, laughing, and loving this remarkable woman for nearly 95 years. She left behind her sister, Colleen Alexander, and her five children: Peter and Ann of Grand Bend, David of Cambodia, Tony and Kathleen of Bermuda, Leisa and Steve of Delaware, US, and Jeff and Jen of London, ON. Betty cherished her grandchildren Jeff, Ryan, Lindsay, Meredith, Beth, Sarah, Chris, Laura, Abi, and William, as well as her great-grandchildren Isla, Jillian, Theo, and Toby. We will always remember her immense pride in her family’s achievements and talents. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill, but her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Born on October 31st, 1928, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Betty was a lifelong resident of London. She had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. Betty dedicated 40 years to her loyal service at the Bank of Montreal. Despite her age, she continued to enjoy the game of golf, demonstrating her skill well into her 80’s. She had an impeccable sense of style and wit, making her a sharp presence wherever she went. Her true passion, however, lay in playing bridge, where her quick wit and strategic thinking shone. Achieving the status of a bridge Life Master brought her immense pride.

While we mourn her loss deeply, we will ensure that Betty remains forever in our memories. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations to be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU).
