Elizabeth Christina Robertson Killawee&nbsp(Liz)

Mom was born and raised in Halifax, NS, spent the majority of her life residing in Quebec and her last years residing at St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville, ON.

Mom received her BA /B.Ed from Dalhousie and went on to teach in various places. Her love of teaching and history/geography eventually brought her to the Museum of History (Formerly Civilization) where she was a volunteer researcher / interpreter, for approximately 20 years. In between she worked at WH Smith and ParaMed and was always willing to volunteer for causes she stood for. She was a proponent of palliative care and always wanted people to be treated with respect and dignity. Get-togethers with (late) Carmel, Connie, Marjorie, (late)Mel, Elsa, Lily, Ginette, Kim, Frank, the Major’s, Mansfield’s and other friends, whether at restaurants, Calabogie or throwing dinner parties, were some of her favourite times. Mom had a good sense of humour and liked to have fun and when holidays came around, she was in her element

Mom is survived by son, David (Nickie Larochelle ) and daughter Suzanne (Sean O’Connor), Grammie to Scott, Ian, Jonathan, Joshua, Lauryn and Lillian and 8 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Robert Robertson and Elsie Robar, close friend Carmel Lewis and her childrens’ father Charles Killawee.

A very special thank you, to all at St Lawrence Lodge, who lovingly cared for Mom over the last 6 years and to those at Le Monastere in Aylmer PQ, previous to that. Thank you also, to Carol Dewar for her friendship and kindness to mom.
