Elizabeth Johnston, affectionately known as Betty, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital in Perth, at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of Eddy Johnston and had resided in Ardoch. Betty was a devoted mother to Kathy Davis (John) of Kitchener, Penny Hawley (Harvy) of Ardoch, Bill Johnston (Lisa) of Mallorytown, Chuck Johnston of Ardoch, and Laura Johnston of Athens. She also held a special place in her heart for her cherished grandchildren Brent (Kimberly), Justin (Nicole), John Michael (Katy), Christopher, Ashley (Andrew), Samantha (Chris), and William (Breanna), as well as her 19 great-grandchildren. Betty was the dear daughter of the late Geneva (Jobson) and Wallace Solar, and she will be fondly remembered by her sister Ida Bisonett, Eleanor Kennedy, and late siblings Arthur, Peggy, and Judy. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Lanark Lodge, who consistently provided exceptional care and support for Betty.
