Elwood James Murray, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, peacefully passed away at the age of 96 on October 25, 2023. He will forever be remembered for his passion for curling and his dedicated service to others as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Elwood’s impact on those who knew him will continue to resonate in their hearts.
Sadly, Elwood was preceded in death by his first wife Irene (nee Villeneuve) and one of their twin daughters, also named Irene, who tragically passed away just six days after birth. He is survived by his second wife, Colleen (nee Warner), who faithfully stood by his side for 53 years and provided unwavering support throughout their life journey. Additionally, Elwood is survived by his two grandchildren, Curtis and Tyler Sloan, who warmly recall the wisdom, laughter, and the simple joys of life that their grandfather bestowed upon them.
