Emelia was truly one of a kind, finding solace and joy in outdoor activities such as big game hunting, fishing, and foraging for wild berries and mushrooms. Her delectable beet leaf cabbage rolls and wild strawberry/blueberry perogies were unparalleled. An unforgettable tale recounts the time she and her husband braved the -40 Celsius cold under an army tent for ice fishing, with Emelia triumphantly catching the most and biggest fish.

Emelia adored fishing for Salmon on the Bulkley River in Moricetown, BC, where she and her husband would spend numerous summers. It was during these fishing trips that Emelia developed lifelong friendships with individuals like Angie, Joe, Lorena, and others. Alongside her passion for the great outdoors, Emelia possessed a remarkable talent for knitting, crochet, and petit point, creating cherished pieces for her loved ones. Each handmade treasure was a testament to the love she poured into every stitch.
