Eric Scott Anderson, aged 46, passed away on September 29, 2023, at Royal University Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 27, 1977, in Prince Albert, SK, Eric spent his formative years in the city, completing his education at St. Mary’s High School. An avid BMX racer, he achieved great success at a young age, winning the Saskatchewan Championship at the tender age of eight. Throughout his life, he cherished the bonds he formed with his childhood friends and remained close with his family. After graduating with a degree in Accounting, Eric embarked on a journey, living in various Canadian cities before returning to Saskatoon to be near his loved ones. He built a strong community of friends who became his extended family. However, the most significant role in his life was being a devoted father to his daughter, Zerra, whom he loved dearly.

Eric faced a grueling battle with cancer after being diagnosed in February 2023. Yet, he approached it with unwavering strength and grace, always prioritizing his daughter’s well-being. Despite his own struggles, Eric remained a pillar of support for Zerra. His untimely departure leaves an immense void in the lives of those who knew and cherished him, particularly his beloved daughter. Eric is survived by Zerra, his parents Gerry and Betty of Prince Albert, his sister Tina (Joey) Ruszkowski and their children Hana and Kristopher, his niece Jessica (Josh) Holz and her son, Jack, his nephew Brock Anderson, his grandfather Myles Anderson, and his loyal cat, Sitchen. He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Anderson, his maternal grandparents Douglas and Gurtrude Miller, and his paternal grandmother Rema Anderson.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on October 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Road). Messages of condolences for the family can be shared on the website http://www.hillcrestmemorial.ca.
