Eugene Armand Cloutier, affectionately known as Gene O or Chicken Man, passed away at the age of 76 on August 21, 2023. Gene fought valiantly against his declining health, surrounded by his beloved family, until he was called to join his Lord and Saviour. Born to Louis and Jeannette Cloutier, he was the cherished husband of Trudy (Berry) for a remarkable 54 years. Gene was a doting father to his sons, Douglas and Danny, and took great joy in spending time with his four adored grandchildren – Ashley, Emma, Matthew, and Rory. He will be deeply missed by his many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends, all of whom have shown immeasurable love and support throughout this challenging journey.

Throughout his life, Gene was a devoted attendee of Grace Baptist Church for a noteworthy 30 years. He worked tirelessly at Chrysler for an impressive span of 36 years. Gene’s passions included embarking on camping trips and exploring auto shows and car lots with his sons to discover new vehicles. He also had a deep love for his favorite sports teams and enjoyed engaging in card games such as cribbage and euchre. The family would like to express their gratitude to the medical staff who provided exceptional care to Gene both in the hospital and at home over the past few years.

Memorial visitation for Gene will be held at the Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home on Thursday, August 24, 2023, beginning at 10am. A memorial service, officiated by Reverend Stan Mantle, will take place at 11am, followed by interment. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Grace Baptist Church, Hospice of Windsor Essex, or a charity of your choice. Gene’s remarkable presence, loving nature, and cherished memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.
