Evelyn (Lyn) Malvena Pollard (née Talefich) was born on August 19, 1950, in Toronto, Ontario, to her beloved parents Evelyn and Mike Talefich. She peacefully passed away on September 20, 2023 at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family. Lyn was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Lyn is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Bob, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories and unwavering love. Their union exemplified the true meaning of lifelong partnership, serving as an inspiring example of love and commitment to everyone who knew them. She was a dedicated mother to her three sons, Ian (Mody), Kyle (Sarah), and Neil (Meghan), whom she loved unconditionally. Lyn not only fulfilled the role of a mother to her children but also served as their confidante, mentor, and a boundless source of love and support.

Lyn found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her eight adoring grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ryan, Rhys, Leigha, Thomas, Natasha, Keira, and Rowin. She treasured each moment spent with them, witnessing their growth and relishing in their laughter and accomplishments. Through them, Lyn’s legacy of love and family will continue to thrive. Additionally, Lyn was a pillar of strength to her siblings, Michael (Roberta) and Margie, and a loyal friend to many. Her unwavering kindness, generosity, and warm-hearted nature left an indelible mark on all those she encountered.

Lyn’s zest for life extended beyond her immediate circle. Her infectious enthusiasm inspired those around her to appreciate the beauty in the world. As we bid farewell to Lyn, we choose to remember her not with sorrow, but with profound gratitude for the love, joy, and warmth she bestowed upon our lives. Her memory will forever reside in our hearts. A memorial service to honor Lyn’s life will take place on Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Church in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, a cause close to Lyn’s heart. Lyn’s legacy serves as a testament to the power of love, family, and the enduring bonds we share. Though we deeply mourn her loss, she will never be forgotten. May Evelyn (Lyn) Malvena Pollard, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, rest in eternal peace.
