June 24, 1929

October 27, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of F. Marjorie Procter (formerly Lees), who left us on Friday, October 27, 2023. Marjorie was born on June 24, 1929, in Winnipeg, MB to Harold and Mabel Lees. She is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, George Procter.

Marjorie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories as a beloved mother. Her daughters, Wendy Steed (Bob) of Nelson, BC, and Gail Seeley (Dennis) of Stouffville, ON, along with her sons, Glenn Procter (Tracy) of Edson, AB, and Ian Procter (Tammy) of Calgary, hold dear the beautiful moments they shared with their mother. Marjorie was also a loving grandmother to eight grandsons, one granddaughter, and was blessed with ten great-grandchildren.

Marjorie’s passion for music blossomed from a young age as she learned to play the piano to accompany her father, a talented soloist. She later became a soloist herself and joined various church groups, starting with The Morrow group in Winnipeg. Marjorie also actively participated in community choirs in Edmonton and Calgary. Her journey in music reached its pinnacle when she conducted The Noteables at Altadore Church. Marjorie nurtured a desire to travel from an early age, and she and George explored all seven continents, including the Antarctic. Marjorie was a diligent homemaker and skilled crafter, setting high standards for herself and her family, which will forever be esteemed.

Cremation has already taken place, and a Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Altadore Church in Calgary, AB. Following the ceremony, a reception will be held. Please visit http://www.MHFH.com to share condolences, memories, and view photos with Marjorie’s family. The Procter family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Agnes Thompson for the exceptional care she provided to Marjorie over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity in Marjorie’s name would be greatly appreciated. As a lasting tribute to Marjorie Procter, McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes will plant a tree in her honor at the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
