Frances Doyle

Frances Anne Doyle, beloved wife of the late David Doyle of Craigville, NB, passed away on June 24, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born on September 14, 1947, in Newcastle, NB, the eldest child of Frank and Ruth Murphy. Frances Anne was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Miramichi, NB. She had a strong faith and often prayed for those in need. Throughout her life, Frances Anne held various administrative jobs before retiring from the Miramichi Leader office. She was actively involved in the community, serving as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nelson-Miramichi Fire Department and as a board member of the Beaubear Co-op. Frances Anne also dedicated her time to working at St. Patrick’s church suppers and carving turkeys each year. Among her many talents, she was an excellent cook, known for hosting gatherings around her kitchen table. Frances Anne enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo and cards with her sisters. She loved dancing with her late husband, David, and had a deep appreciation for fiddle music. Despite facing health challenges such as arthritis, Frances Anne remained resilient. She found solace in her family, especially her daughter Kelly Doyle MacDonald, son Colin Doyle, and grandsons Kaleb and Isaiah. Frances Anne is survived by her siblings Phyllis McPhee, Amanda Manderson, Marcella Wood, Mary Parsan, and Herbert Murphy. She also leaves behind her extended family, including nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. Frances Anne joins her parents, husband, and predeceased brother and brothers-in-law in eternal rest. The funeral service was held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, and she was laid to rest in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Miramichi Accessible Transit or the St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fund in memory of Frances Anne. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital for their care and support during her six months of hospitalization. They also extend their appreciation to the Miramichi Extra Mural Staff and all those who offered condolences, prayers, visits, meals, and donations during this difficult time. Frances Anne will be deeply missed, and her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her.
