François LeBlanc

François (Frank) LeBlanc, aged 95, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, with his children at his side at the Lakeshore General Hospital. He was a resident of the tranquil town of Saraguay, Quebec, where he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Muriel Wolfe. François was a firm believer in selflessness and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need. Skiing, golfing, and gardening were his favorite pastimes, bringing him great joy throughout his life.

François was preceded in death by his loving wife, Muriel, and his daughter Diane Côté, as well as his grandchild Gabrielle. He will be cherished forever by his surviving children, Gilles (Denise) and Cheryl (Alain). He was also preceded in death by his parents, Louis LeBlanc and Jeannie Orr, his brothers Leonard, Gilbert, and Marc, and his sisters Constance, Lorraine, Jean, and Margot. However, his brother William continues to carry on his legacy. François will be remembered fondly by his nieces, nephews, family members, and friends, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, PAB’s, and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and the Lakeshore General Hospital for their compassionate care during François’s final days. They also bid a final farewell to his dear friends and the staff at Selection West Island in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Blvd. in D.D.O. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held from 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. at Ste Suzanne Church, situated at 9501 Gouin Blvd West, Pierrefonds. A luncheon will then take place back at Rideau Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in François’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
