Franklin “Frank” Brown

Franklin “Frank” Herbert Brown, the beloved husband of the late Jane “Rose” (Cassidy), peacefully passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Hospice House Fredericton, surrounded by his loving family. He lived a remarkable life, reaching the age of 101 years. Frank was born on October 7, 1921, in Chipman, NB, to his parents Elmer and Hazel Brown.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Judith (Judy) Gallant, and his son, William “Billy” (Mary) Brown. He leaves behind a loving legacy, including his cherished grandchildren, Sandra (Rod) Austin, Jason (Stacy) Brown, and Kevin (Melissa) Brown. Frank also adored his great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Adam) McNeill, Hayley (Nick) Brown, Jordan Brown, Jackson Brown, and Sofia Brown. His joy extended to his great-great-grandchildren, Lucas McNeill, Rowan Hubbard, and Koby Brown. Additionally, Frank is survived by his sister-in-law Frances Lapham, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose, his parents Elmer and Hazel, his brother Alvin Brown, and his sisters Annie Beers and Ida Cassidy. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Visitation took place at the Chipman United Church on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Frank’s remarkable life followed at the Chipman United Church on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm. He was laid to rest in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery following the service.
