Throughout her life, Gail’s unwavering passion for photography served as a testament to her character. Her remarkable ability to capture the beauty of the world brought immense joy to those who encountered her work. For an impressive 25 years, Gail, alongside her ex-husband Marty Verweel, co-owned the Wortley Roadhouse—a thriving entrepreneurial venture. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Gail dedicated her time to being an influential advocate within her community and ralliying support for charitable causes. However, her greatest role was that of a devoted and loving mother to her cherished children, Katrina and Kaes Verweel, who held the most significant place in her heart. Gail took immense pride in their achievements and cherished every moment shared with them.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Gail Roy’s extraordinary life will be held in the spring of 2024.
